Since 1990, Tradewinds has been the Total Facilities Manager for General Aviation Terminal (GAT) at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). The GAT is where all private aircraft arrive into Washington, D.C. With over 11,000 flights per year, it is the busiest facility of its type in the world. With its teaming partners, Butler Aviation (1990?93) and Signature Flight Support (Since1994), Tradewinds provides a wide array of award winning services for World Leaders, Corporate. Tradewinds maintains and oversees 160,000 square feet of airplane hangar space and 10,000 square feet of office space. That means being responsible for the entire range of airport facilities activities including:
|Design and Construction of the office and Hangar facilities;|
|Recruiting, hiring and training of all facilities staff;|
|Negotiating real estate transactions and Lease Administration;|
|Providing maintenance for all transient Corporate Aircraft, as well as fixed base aircraft based at Washington National (DCA);|
|Providing Logistics management and support;|
|Maintaining all equipment including an extensive fleet of aircraft handling and courtesy vehicles for use by VIPs;|
|Providing a wide range of transportation support from private limousine service to private busses.|
Twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year, Tradewinds' operations at Washington National (DCA) is open for business to support the network of private aircraft who need to be in the center of action of the Capitol of the Free World at a moment's notice.
In addition to DCA, Tradewinds provides property management and facilities management services to a number of Federal Agencies, Associations and private property owners in the Greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
